How did we placed 100+ students in Companies, startups and corporates.
To understand how we succeed to place our 100+ students in Companies, Startups and Corporates In a world where only ~43% are considered “job-ready” out of more than 2.1 lakh analytics-skilled candidates, every year in india. First we need to understand the problems we figured out, that are faced by students in order to get a job.
Unskilled Mentors
A large share of analytics training in India uses tutors who have never worked as data analysts themselves.

According to AIM Research 2023, Instructors with full-time analytics industry experience are <35 % and Instructors who have shipped real live dashboards / models are <25%. Now it make sense why its only 43% of the learners making it to the job. Learners only get theory, not capability. Interview failure stories reflect this impact shown in Naukri Hiring Survey, 2024, clearly – 65% of fresher rejections are for lack of applied context, not lack of syntax knowledge.
Solution : choose programs where 70%+ mentors are ex-industry, product-side, not “coding tutors”.
Outdated curriculum and methods
Analytics tool stack changes every 6–9 months. But most institute notes / assignments haven’t changed in 3–5 years.

Example gap (current job demand vs what most curricula still teach):
| Skill | Market demand | Curricula coverage |
| SQL + warehouse modelling | High | Medium |
| Power BI service / DAX optimisation | Very High | Low |
| Python + APIs for automation | High | Low |
| GenAI + Prompt automation for workflows | Surging | Almost Nil |
Students invest months on things that no longer differentiate, and by the time they graduate, they are already behind.
Solution: learn in a curriculum that is updated minimum quarterly and is “job description mapped”, not “syllabus tradition mapped”.
No exposure
Analytics hiring in India is shifting to portfolio-first. AIM hiring snapshot (2024):

| Screening weightage in top B’lore & Hyd firms | Weight |
| Projects on real data | 52% |
| Tool skills alone | 23% |
| Certification / course completion | 7% |
Institutes that don’t have industry partnerships cannot give learners:
• real tickets
• real messy data
• real feature engineering constraints
• real stakeholder narratives
And the result, Even bright students only have toy projects.
Solution : Verify if the institute has live project pipelines with companies, not “capstone simulated case studies”.
“The point is not that you must work harder, the point is the environment you choose decides whether hard work becomes market-currency or wasted effort.” — MR. kishore.
If you want to actually enter the analytics economy, not just study it. Your education must be built around these 3 non-negotiables:
- mentors who have shipped real work
- curriculum aligned to current hiring stack
- industry partnerships that convert learning in to proof
This is the core philosophy behind Excelytics. And still it’s not done.
